Description
Tsubaki BB-2K Clutch Release Bearing: The BB-2K series cam clutch has keyways on the inner race and outer race. The outer race is designed for press-fit installation. Correct interference dimensions must be maintained to obtain maximum bearing and clutch performance. Always maintain correct installation dimensions at the shaft and housing. The clutch should be mounted on the shaft by rotating it in the direction marked by the arrow shown on the clutch plate. To install the clutch, use a press tool of the appropriate diameter to apply even pressure over the entire face of the inner or outer race. Do not hammer or apply shock to the clutch. Make sure the housing has enough strength to withstand the pressure required for the press-fitting installation of the clutch. Protect the dust seals against shocks and knocks. If the seal is ruptured in any way foreign objects will enter the clutch mechanism and prevent the clutch from operating correctly.
Maintenance: 1. Since Grease is applied before delivery, there is no need to apply grease before use.
2. If the ambient operating temperature is high or if the unit is operated continuously at high speed, there is the possibility that grease may leak from the unit. In this case, use a metal-bearing seal to prevent leakage.
3. If the clutch is used with an oil lubricant, it can be installed normally. However, the oil lubrication should be applied inside the unit evenly.
4. Do not use greases or lubricants with EP additives.
