FIM1216DU Flanged Wrapped Steel Plain Backed Bush 3/4x7/8x1 inch

Flanged Plain Bearings: Constructed of 3 layers these maintenance free flanged bushes offer a low cost low friction solution. Comprising of a flanged steel backing, a bronze layer and a 0.2 - 0.35mm thick layer of Polytetra-Fluroethylene PTFE. During manufacture the pores of the bronze layer are completely filled with the PTFE material, additionally a layer up to 0.03mm is added over the top of it. The PTFE material is applied to the inside only, the outer surface, ends and the split rolled joint are protected against corrosion with a layer of tin. These bushes have very high compressive strength and provide good thermal conductivity. This bush style is often referred to as a Permaglide bush
