SKF SIKB..F Series Rod End Bearings: This series is classed as maintenance free rod end bearings. Comprising of sliding contact surfaces of steel against PTFE impregnated fibre re-in forced polymer (FRP) these rod end bearings are unsealed and will operate within -40deg C to +75 deg C, load carrying capacity will be reduced over +50 degrees C. Rod ends with a Steel / PTFE FRP sliding contact surface combination consist of a rod end housing and a spherical plain bearing inner ring. Between the housing and the inner ring, a sliding layer of fibre reinforced polymer, containing PTFE, is molded to the housing. Left and Right hand threaded versions are available an L in the part number denotes the left hand option. These are metric sized rod end bearings. Application: Suitable for heavy, constant direction loads, where low coefficient of friction is required; limited suitability for alternating loads, shock loads.
