Stainless Steel Open Deep Groove Ball Bearings: One of the most commonly used bearings, the open types are manufactured without seals to allow for the free circulation of either oil or grease, used in gearboxes and other environments where no foreign matter would be present and a lubricant supply is available.

Note: These bearings will eventually corrode in a marine environment and it is recommended to completely cover with grease or similar protection where practical. Due to the material requirements of these bearings to have a hard-wearing construction, they will be made of a harder form of Stainless Steel, such as 440 or similar, which will be attracted by magnets.
